Meme: Women in Science Fiction

I’m more of a fantasy reader myself, but I do read some SF so I thought this would be fun to do.

Bold the women by whom you own books (I’m including people who have short stories in anthologies that I own)
Italicize those by whom you’ve read something of (I’m going to count short stories too)
Star those you don’t recognize

Well, not terribly bad, but not great either. I guess I need to brush up on my women SF authors. Of course, I did say straight out that I prefer Fantasy and a lot of the names I recognize only from perusing the shelves at the bookstore.
That being said, it might be interesting to try and read at least one book/short story by each of the authors on this list. Anyone care to join me? 🙂
