Screenprinting Class Part II

The second screenprinting class was Saturday. We got to do the whole process again and I’m proud to say I remembered all the steps. The image I did this time was one I’d drawn – a little cartoon monster. It turned out really cute and I even got to print a few extra to see if they would sell at the shop! Can I tell you, I’m kinda excited about that. Maybe if they sell, I’ll have to do a few more.

Playing With Prismacolor

This is a quick sketch I did and then colored with Prismacolor colored pencils. My husband says it reminds him of Poison Ivy.

Second entry in the Portrait Project. I think I may give this one another go before moving on to another pic.

It helped a lot to put it in black and white since I’m working in pencil.

Portrait Project

So, for awhile now I’ve wanted to get better at sketching/painting people. I will be the first to admit that I’m not very good at it. So, I’ve decided to start a new personal project by doing some master studies of portraiture to try and improve my skills.

So, first up is a pencil study of “Girl With A Pearl Earring” by Vermeer

I see a lot of room for improvement… and I really need to buy a scanner, lol. I may try sketching this one again and see if it improves or I may move on to something else.

Hope you enjoy!
